A family tribute

"This tribute is a journey through the generations. It is an ode to my great-grandmother, a woman who inspired in me  the love of the handmade items, transformation, and the creativity  from almost nothing., as well as personal resilience. Her story, like those of many women of yesterday and today marked by the trials of war, leads me to advance on a path of life, where all creation is an opening offered to Humanity.

This heritage pushed me to explore the world, from archaeology to visual arts. From the age of 15, my camera became my companion, capturing the beauty of nature and objects shaped by man. And  it was during a personal ordeal that I truly reconnected with my creative roots. My hands, which I had missed so much, became my tools to express my imagination in movement, between real and unreal.

Today, my works are a fusion of photography and matter. They invite the viewer to go on sensory journey, to an intimate encounter with light and textures. Each piece is a story, a fragment of my journey, opening a space where everyone can project their own emotions, memories and move forward in the present world.

History and preferred materials

Materials, a source of inspiration, weave the thread of the story that will be born. All the senses are awakened, and the innate intelligence of manual crafting triggers the creative process. In an approach combining raw materials from the earth (bark, seeds, crystals, feathers, etc.) and materials transformed by humans (wool, fabric, glass, etc.), Marielon offers an enduring liaison between reality and imagination, between emotion and cultural sharing, with a focus on transforming what already exists.
